Within the Lion’s calendar there are two events which provide an excuse for a nice evening out. The Charter meal which celebrates in effect the birthday of the Eastleigh Lions Club and the ‘Change Over’ meal which occurs around the date that the various official posts are transfered between members. Generally this can be an annual process although more than often, for various reasons, the role is continued for a second year. This includes the President, Treasurer and Secretary. The committees are also rebuilt at this time to prepare for the year ahead.

Lion Eric who is the Chair of the Social Committee greeted the members to the evening’s venue, the SeaFayre Lounge in Chandler’s Ford. We then enjoyed an excellent three course meal before further speeches from Lion President Mark and Fundraising Chair Dave. It was great to be able to get together in relaxed and convivial surroundings and enjoy each others company after a long period of enforced separation brought about by the Covid restrictions.
