Charity Dinner Dance a Glittering Occasion

Eastleigh Lions and Eastleigh Age Concern joined forces for a glittering Gala Charity Dinner Dance to raise money for a new One Community mini bus for their vital dial-a-ride service for the elderly and infirm.

Guests attending the event in the Point were greeted to a red carpet reception and traditional New Orleans music from the Acoustic Jazz Band. During the four course meal entertainment was provided by theatre students of Barton Peveril College performing an energetic medley of songs from the shows. Sergiy Bondarenko presented a display of Latin dances and guests were invited to join in and take to the floor for some dance instruction.

The highlight of the evening was the draw for the fabulous prize of flights to and accommodation in New York for two, presented to the lucky winners by Eastleigh MP Mims Davies and the mayor of Eastleigh.

Lion Chris and his wife Wendy attended this event read his review of the evening here.
