Ghouls, Ghosts and Lions Support Pavilion Event

Hook a spider from the gunge

Eastleigh’s Pavilion on the Park staged a free Halloween Community Trail on Sunday afternoon and evening. The plan was originally to get children and their parents to follow an App based interactive trail but after a morning of heavy rain and blustery wind, the organisers made the decision to move the ten game bases closer in to the Pavilion.

The ten stops were designed to tell a story of local haunted history and engage the visitors with simple, fun games with a spooky perspective. Several Lions donned their scariest outfits to man bases for what was a really well attended event. Most of the people who came to take part had clearly gone to a lot of effort with their costumes and created a great fun atmosphere.

Congratulations must go to Carolynn and the Pavilion team for putting together a meticulously thought out afternoon which went well and was thoroughly enjoyed, despite the last minute change of plan. Eastleigh Lions were pleased to be able to support a worthwhile community event.
