Cowes week: (Or more accurately Red Funnel Cowes Week Fireworks).
We were all hoping that the event would be cancelled because of the torrential rain, but oh no the show must go on!
Several bedraggled Lions climbed to the top deck of the ferry to watch the pyrotechnics, whilst the sensible ones (Ed: ?) hadn’t left the bar. We were serenaded by a Frank Sinatra tribute singer and more red red wine (no he didn’t sing that!) (Ed: but he did do some Neil Diamond numbers!)
