Thank you but more help needed

Dear all at Eastleigh Lions Club,
In the current climate of uncertainty, we have taken the decision to send out our 2019 Christmas Thank You Booklet via email rather than post for the time being, to do our bit to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus.  We hope this brightens your day and makes you smile at what is a very worrying time for us all.

WOW – Our 2019 Christmas Gift Appeal was incredibly successful! Without everyone’s hard work, kindness and generosity, we would not have been able to make 2019 the biggest gift appeal yet.

Please find attached our booklet where you will see how so many people and companies pulled together with Laura’s Charity – without you all, we simply could not do this.

To our Corporate Santas, our Virtual Christmas Tree donors, our selection box  collectors and wrappers, the individuals and businesses who held fundraisers for us and collected gifts, and to those who helped us with the Big Wrap – a great big thank you!  Together, we made such a big difference to the lives of the 450 young cancer patients who were unable to get home for Christmas, and we have received many lovely, heartfelt messages of thanks from patients, parents and the hospital staff which we are delighted to be able to share with you.

On behalf of the LCYCT team and especially the young people we support at Christmas, we would like to say a huge thank you once again – there are not enough words to express how grateful we are and how special the Christmas Gift Appeal is to the young people and their families.

At this point, we would not normally send an additional plea – we know you have already helped us so much, however sadly, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust needs you to join the fight  and support us through the Coronavirus crisis.

As our supporters are aware, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust is a small charity with a national reach and we have limited financial reserves but we do have a fast-growth strategy. Our income this year is terrifyingly dependent on those who believe in our cause and funds are raised via events and generous donations.  The Trust does not and will not receive any of the Government funding which is being offered to small businesses and we may have to consider scaling back our projects, as well as the continuation of the charity over the coming months.

Can you help us survive?   If you are able to, please make an emergency donation at and help us keep our work on track through the coronavirus health crisis.

A donation of just £2.50 per week for the next 3 months from 1,500 generous people, will keep us afloat for the next quarter.
We really need your help.
