One group represented the Lions at the Eastleigh Community Showcase at the Pavilion on the Park, where along with 50 other community organisations they talked to visitors about how Lions work within the Eastleigh borough to help others. The Mayor of Eastleigh, Councillor Dave Pragnell gave a speech, extolling the virtues of the vibrant local volunteering community.  

Whilst this was going on, a short way up the road another group were working wonders, tidying up an area near the Community Garden, planting bulbs and plants. This was another part of Lion President Tina Campbells environmental campaign.  During the bulb planting season, Tina has given out packs of bulbs to many local schools and to several members of the public attending the Big Green Ideas Day at the end of September.
