Eastleigh Lions were proud to host our District Governor, Tim Hanton, on his visit the club’s schedule. Hopefully, he enjoyed our hospitality from our small but active club. He told us how his much larger Wokingham club were able to organise many very ambitious projects with more confidence, a position we would love to be in.

He said he was concentrating on membership during his tenure as DG and had put out a challenge to all clubs to increase their member numbers by at least one during the year. We were pleased to show that we had already achieved that with our newest member Louise sitting in on our monthly gathering.

At the end of the meeting, he handed out service certificates and chevrons to three members who had served 5, 10 and 15 years respectively. Well done to Tina, Sue and Jon.
